Frog #2-
I talked to frog #2 for several weeks before we decided to meet up, so I had a good feeling, and felt comfortable about meeting up with him. We met at a steakhouse for drinks after work one night. He was well into his 3rd beer by the time I arrived. We agreed on meeting at 6:30 because of my commute, and at 6 he texted me to let me know he was there. Nothing like feeling rushed before the date even begins. We were able to converse easily, although he led the entire conversation and ended up ordering dinner. I ordered a salad and side of veggies. Mostly because I wanted a quick meal and to get out of there. He made a comment about, "You can order a steak if you want, I definitley can afford it", which was just the icing on the cake to many comments about money. His boat, the 2 gps' for his boat, his hooks, bait, and poles. Paying cash for updating his house, his house, his truck, his tickets to the Cowboys games, his blah blah blah. I'm really happy that you are just rolling in the dough over there. He even said that one girl on Match emailed him just to ask how much money he made. He wrote her back and said, "$45,000", and then he told me to add a 1 in front of that with a big grin on his face. I think money is important, but I also think are tons of other characteristics aside from your income that I'd rather get to know.

A Professional First Dater
I am a professional first dater. I joined Match because all of my friends are married, and I feel I have met every "friend" they have that is also on the planet, all with no avail. People say, "You just have to get out there". Well that's easy to say, and harder to do. Match seemed like an easy way to get out there, and it's entertaining to say the least. I will share some of my first date adventures, and feature others with great first date stories. Please enjoy my journey to finding "the one"!
Frog #1
Met on Match, seemed nice. Has the awkward "man" picture of him in front of his mirror, in the bathroom. But he seemed cute. Not hot, but cute. He made the comment on his profile, "I don't post hot pictures of myself because I don't want to be with a woman who only wants to be with me because of my looks." That's fair enough, and I get that.
Unfortunately, he did post his most attractive pictures of himself of his profile. I know that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but if you make a comment that you are hot, and you are actually not hot- I feel that is dishonest. Aside from the fact that there was neither physical attraction or chemistry, he kept referring to his ex wife as "we" in reference to her. That's not a good sign either. Needless to say, there was no second date.
Lessons learned: Post recent pictures. Don't brag about your hotness, if you're not.
